Multivariate datasets
- Parallel Coordinates. Only the IBM version (PVE-Unix RS 6000 only) is useful. Very easy to use. Good Manual. Future of product is uncertain.
- Netmap. Very easy to use. Data organisation and input needs some skill. Several days training needed
Surface and contour graphs 2 to 3D.
- PV Wave (also IDL). Easy to use, need to spend a day on the tutorial
Explorers 3D
- Very versatile, three companies make them - minimal differences. Needs at least 5 days training and reasonable programming skills to start with.
