Notes
Bob Hendley
Provided an overview of what visualisation means for him. Described research carried out at Birmingham which combines visualisation and agent technologies in a system called Hyperspace. The configuration of a visualisation is determined by forces acting between the nodes in the visualisation. In general, nodes repel each other, but, nodes with attributes in common attract each other.
Discussion:
Mark O'Dell
suggested that geometries other than Euclidean Space could be used to provide other visualisations.
Bob Hendley
replied that this had been tried. Current implementation excludes this for reasons of efficiency.
